During the bonding process of packaging box products with adhesives, the following details should be paid attention to to avoid poor bonding effect and unnecessary losses.
1. The amount of glue brushing should be moderate: If the amount of glue brushing is too thick, it is easy to cause glue overflow after pressing. If the amount of glue brushing is too thick, it should be left to dry for 2 to 5 minutes after brushing, and then pressed after the adhesive is slightly dry. If the amount of glue is too thin or the drying time is too long, it will lead to poor bonding firmness or even failure to bond at all. If this happens, you should check the manual and consult the manufacturer.
2. There must be relative bonding pressure: If the product with high tension is not pressed or the pressure is too small, the material will automatically bounce off after bonding. This is because most of the adhesives are contact adhesives, and the two adhesive surfaces must be effectively pressed. In unit time, if the initial adhesion force is less than the elastic force of the product, the product will bounce off, so the general product requires a pressing time of 0.5 hours.
3. Do not dilute the adhesive with water: In order to save the cost of raw materials, some manufacturers will directly dilute the adhesive with water, resulting in insufficient bonding fastness and poor adhesion on the film. Most of the current packaging box adhesives are oily, and dilution with water violates chemical principles. I hope that adhesive users will not cause losses to themselves because of blind use of glue.
4. The low temperature resistance and high temperature resistance of the adhesive are better: the packaging box will be degummed in the cold winter. This is mainly because the low temperature resistance of some adhesives is not good. Below 5 ° C, the surface of the adhesive will lose its activity, which will directly lead to the decrease or disappearance of the bonding force. In the hot summer, the sticky packaging box will also pop up and degummed in the warehouse or transport car box, mainly because the high temperature resistance of this adhesive is not good. At the temperature of 50 ° C to 60 ° C, the adhesive layer will soften and the strength will become smaller, resulting in degumming of the packaging box.
5. The water resistance of the adhesive is better: the packaging box is stored in a humid warehouse for a long time, which will not only cause the humidity of the product to exceed the standard, but also cause the product to be degummed. This is mainly because the product absorbs water, and the water resistance of the adhesive itself is not good, which leads to the softening of the adhesive layer and delamination.
6. The bonding durability and aging resistance of the adhesive are better: the packaging box has a good bonding effect in the early stage of sticking (usually half a month), and with the extension of time, the packaging box will be degummed. This is mainly because the bonding durability of the adhesive itself is poor and the product is degummed. On the other hand, the adhesive contains a large number of unsaturated bonds, which leads to the poor aging resistance of the product. After a long time, the film becomes brittle and the product is degummed.
